ENDLESS RUNNER

Leap Motion | Rhythm

This is a rhythm game controlled by Leap Motion. Players take on the role of a ninjas, harnessing the energy in their hands to switch between various spells in order to defeat different types of monsters charging towards them.

EARLY DEVELOPMENT

When I decided to create a game controlled by hand, I was inspired by the way ninjutsu is performed in Naruto, where hand signs are used to unleash techniques. So, I drew inspiration from this concept and proposed the idea of using different elements in your hand to combat various types of enemies.

After playtesting, we revised the mechanism of switching elements by clapping to obtain elements from different positions on the screen

CORE MECHANICS

Those squares are the player's enemy. Enemies coming closer towards the player.

  • Players will have a colored block in their hand, and they can change its color by touching the screen.

  • The player needs to touch the incoming block monsters with their hand. If the colors match, the monster is eliminated.

  • Programming about the core mechanic system, Leap Motion set-up, tutorial level, enemy system, and player system.
