GAME CONCEPT

Due to the widespread love for collectible games and a fascination with supernatural and horror stories, inspired by Bloodborne and Phasmophobia, we've created this ghost-capturing tabletop game. Players will assume the role of a ghost hunter, acquiring various items to summon different types of spirits. These spirits will assist you in obtaining more resources.

Try to capture as many ghosts as possible!

GAME MECHANICS

RESHUFFLING:

  • Players won't lose any of the cards they collect; instead, they keep reshuffling them into their deck. The goal is to enrich your deck with stronger or more needed cards so that you draw better cards each time you collect a hand.

GHOST CAPTURE:

  • Ghost cards are crucial for winning the game. Players use specific item cards to acquire ghost cards and leverage their abilities to strengthen themselves. However, the number of usable ghost cards is limited, so players must make strategic choices.

COLLECT POINTS:

  • Both ghost and item cards have point values, and the player with the highest total points wins.

  • Players draw five cards from the deck each turn.

  • Used cards are shuffled back into the deck.

  • Players can summon up to two ghosts.

  • Newly summoned ghosts will replace the old ones (stacking).

PLAYER BOARD

GAME MAP BOARD

  • The shop will randomly refresh item cards.

  • In addition to item cards, players can choose to purchase higher-value coin cards (because the number of cards drawn each turn is limited).

  • On the left, ghost cards will refresh randomly.

  • When a type of card is acquired by a player, a new card will refresh.

SYSTEM DESIGN

To ensure that the game has more than one victory condition, I have transformed the win condition into acquiring more points and assigned scores to almost all cards. This way, players are not only focused on capturing more ghosts, collecting additional items, restricting the opponent's summons, and gathering specific creatures but also strategically managing to obtain cards for free each turn. This approach allows players to choose their preferred strategies during gameplay, ensuring that each game session offers unique strategies and gameplay.
